Rio Tinto Staircase taking shape at Arden factory

This landmark staircase, covering 14 internal floors, will be a showpiece in the world of staircases.
The stairs are based on a central vertical truss system hidden within a slender tear-drop shaped core, with cantilever-supported stair flights on either side that then blend into a semi-circular mid-landing. Glass and stainless steel balustrades on the stair-flights then give way to a stainless steel weave mesh that curves vertically around the mid-landings and carries through for the entire 14 floors.
