Arrow Energy Corporate Offices

A centrepiece of stacked timber boxes, shiplap lining and glass.

Arrow Energy Corporate Offices Project (2009) AM60, 42 Albert St, Brisbane.

A design brief incorporating a visual of stacked timber boxes and random ended walls was realised through extensive structural steel and timber framing clad with pre-finished solid Blackbutt shiplap lining. The lining was gauged to the individual rise creating the platform for seamless riser to stringer to soffit interface. Low visual impacting glass and stainless steel balustrade along with full height glazed walls were specified as to not distract from the major design elements.

Stringer Construction: Combination non-visual sawtooth timber and structural steel stringers (P1)

Pre-finished select grade Blackbutt tread/riser assemblies with rebated 50mm Latham 493S “Sparkling Black” non-slip nosing strips

Balustrade: Pre-finished select grade Blackbutt nom180x19mm shiplap lining, Satin stainless steel 38mm through-glass patch fittings(PF10), Cantilevered 12mm clear toughened glass panels(F8), Conventionally glazed 12mm clear toughened glass partition panels(G2), Pre-finished select grade Blackbutt batten balustrade, and Continuous 38.1mm CHS stainless steel handrail.
